Kevin Greiner - President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Greiner has more than twelve years of experience in the retail energy industry, working in various sales, marketing, and general management roles. He has served as Gas South’s CEO since the company’s inception in January 2006. Prior to joining Gas South, Mr. Greiner served in management roles at Southern Company Gas and Southern Company Energy Solutions. Mr. Greiner holds an MBA and MS from the University of Michigan, and a BA from Wesleyan University. Mr. Greiner holds leadership positions in numerous business and civic organizations. He serves on the board of directors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce, and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau. He is also on the board of advisors of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Greiner is currently serving as the 2010 Chairman of the United Way campaign in Cobb County.
Sandra R. (Sandy) Miller, CPA, CFE, CMA - Chief Financial Officer
Sandy Miller is Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for Gas South. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Management Accountant. She has been with Gas South since its formation in January 2006. Prior to Gas South, she spent 26 years with Southern Company and three years with the public accounting firm, Arthur Young and Company. She has extensive accounting and auditing experience as well as operational experience on the electrical side. Sandy was the first female Senior Production Officer in the history of Southern Company and the first female Vice President of Savannah Electric. She holds a BBA and an MBA from Georgia State University. In 2009, the Atlanta Business Chronicle named her “CFO of the Year – Community Service”. She is a member of the Cobb Chamber Chairman’s Club, Cobb Executive Women and 2007 Leadership Cobb Class. Additionally, she is the Chair of the YWCA of Northwest Georgia and on the Board of Cobb Works. She is a member of the Women of Tocqueville Cabinet and the WellStar Foundation Women’s Giving Society.
Vance Mullis - Senior Vice President of Supply & Risk Management
Mr. Mullis has 31 years of experience in the utility business including seven years in gas supply and risk management. He has served as Gas South’s Senior Vice President of Supply and Risk Management since its inception in January 2006. In this role, he is responsible for directing the daily purchasing of gas, balancing the hedging portfolio, and managing the storage assets and weather risks. Pricing specific customer loads also falls in his area of responsibility. Mr. Mullis has extensive experience in the energy business ranging from retail rate design to system reliability studies from his years of service at Georgia Power, Southern Company and Mirant. His work experience includes simulation model development and analysis of all regions of the United States as well as consulting work in Northern and Eastern Europe, England, Turkey, the Caribbean, Australia and South America. Mr. Mullis also served in the National Petroleum Council's 2004 Natural Gas Study. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BEE) from Georgia Institute of Technology, holds a patent awarded for methods in determining expected unserved energy in electric power systems and has completed graduate work in business administration. His military service included a tour as a newspaper writer and editor and service as a reserve military intelligence officer. He is a member of the American Association of Energy Economists.
Meredith W. Hodges - Vice President of External Affairs and Human Resources
Meredith is currently the Vice President of External Affairs and Human Resources of Gas South, LLC. She has twenty years experience in the utility industry for both electricity and natural gas, in functions including economic development, human resources, external affairs and sales. Meredith is a founding officer of Gas South, which purchased the majority of assets of Southern Company Gas in 2006, and her department has a myriad of responsibilities including all HR functions, the company’s regulatory and legislative interface, and coordinating the company’s chamber, community involvement and charitable giving. In addition to her work on the job, Meredith has been appointed by the Governor to the Professional Standards Committee; is co-chair of the Atlanta Firms Committee for the Woodruff Arts Center Annual Fundraising Campaign; serves on the Metro Atlanta Chamber Education Committee; and is a mentor for the Spelman College Coca Cola Mentoring Program. Meredith has a Bachelors from Washington & Lee University and a Master’s in Human Resource Development from Georgia State. She has been interviewed and cited in the book Shaping your HR Role, by Kahnweiler and Kahnweiler 2005, received a Pathbuilder’s Inspiria Award in 2009 and maintains that coaching and developing people is her real passion.
Christopher Coan - General Manager Business and Government Markets
Mr. Coan joined the Gas South team in November 2006 having worked for the General Electric Company for the last 18 years. Mr. Coan held various leadership positions in sales and marketing in the Energy industry serving utility and large industrial customers around the world. In his current role, Mr. Coan is responsible for all industrial and governmental customers with annual natural gas consumption greater than 30,000 therms. Responsibilities include sales, marketing, account management, billing, and collections. Mr. Coan holds an MBA from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University, and undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Ceramics from the State University of New York and Georgia Institute of Technology respectively.
Manon Brochu - General Manager Mass Markets
Ms. Brochu has over 15 years experience in the utility, technology, and airline industries in a variety of roles across finance, marketing, and operations. Ms. Brochu has served in the role of General Manager of Mass Markets since Gas South’s inception in January 2006. Prior to her work in the natural gas industry, Ms. Brochu held various leadership positions in business development, marketing, and finance with Delta Airlines. In her current role, Ms. Brochu is responsible for overseeing the company’s development and implementation of strategic initiatives in the residential and business segments including all marketing and operational activity. Ms. Brochu has an undergraduate degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Florida, and a MBA from Kennesaw State University.
