Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), through the Georgia Department
of Human Services, helps low income households pay their gas bills. To qualify for
assistance, eligibility requirements must be met and an application must be submitted.
Who Is Eligible?
Household must meet total gross yearly household income
Household has a member who is responsible for paying
the heating bills
Person applying is a U.S. citizen, qualified alien or

- Proof of income for ALL household members for the last

- Last month’s bill or statement from your heating energy supplier

Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS)
CCCS provides free, confidential budget counseling, community-wide education programs
in money management, debt management programs for consumers who are overextended,
