Kevin Greiner, President and Chief Executive Officer
Under the leadership of President and CEO Kevin Greiner, Gas South has become one of the southeast’s leading retail natural gas providers, serving over 280,000 residential, business and governmental customers in Georgia and Florida. Mr. Greiner has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, including prior management roles with Southern Company. He has served as Gas South’s CEO since its formation in 2006.
Mr. Greiner’s dedication to the local community has also seen him take on a number of other non-profit board leadership roles. He serves on the board of the United Way of Greater Atlanta and chaired the 2012-13 Workplace Campaign, which brought in over $77 million in community investment. At the Georgia Chamber, Mr. Greiner serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of Governors. He currently serves as Chairman for the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, Georgia's leading education policy and advocacy organization. He also serves on the board of ClearPoint Credit Counseling Solutions and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta.
Mr. Greiner holds a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s of science in natural resource policy from the University of Michigan. He earned his bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University.
Jamie Tiernan, Vice President & CFO
Jamie Tiernan is responsible for accounting, finance, treasury, IT, project management office, HR and community affairs as Gas South’s VP & CFO. Tiernan has 17 years of experience in the energy and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Gas South in 2006, Mr. Tiernan held various supervisory and analytical roles at Southern Company.
Tiernan serves on the board of directors for three nonprofit organizations: Junior Achievement of GA, DeKalb Police Alliance and Heating Energy Assistance Team. He is also a graduate of Leadership DeKalb and Leadership Finance. Tiernan is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in finance from Georgia State University.
Christopher Coan – Vice President and General Manager of Business and Government Markets
As Gas South's Vice President and General Manager of Business and Government Markets, Christopher Coan is responsible for mid-to-large commercial, industrial and institutional customers. This includes overseeing sales, marketing, account management, billing and collections for these customers. Coan joined Gas South in 2006 after spending 18 years at General Electric, where he worked with utilities and large industrial customers.
Coan has a master's degree in business administration from Emory University, and undergraduate degrees from the State University of New York at Oneonta and Georgia Tech. Coan serves on the board of the following organizations: Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Hotel and Lodging Association (GHLA), the Council for Quality Growth, and the 2017 Board Chairman for the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB).
Manon Brochu – Vice President and General Manager of Mass Markets
As Gas South’s Vice President and General Manager of Mass Markets, Manon Brochu is responsible for managing and growing Gas South’s Residential and Small Commercial business. This includes overseeing Gas South’s Marketing, Operations, and Customer Care functions. Brochu has been with Gas South since its inception and has over 20 years in finance, marketing, operations and business development, including positions at Southern Company, Delta Air Lines and Hewlett Packard.
Brochu has a master’s degree in business administration from Kennesaw State University and a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of Florida. Brochu serves on the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Area Command.
Freddy Cardozo – Vice President of Supply and Risk Management
Freddy Cardozo is responsible for all the wholesale natural gas supply, managing the transportation and storage assets of the company, legislative and regulatory affairs, and its risk management functions as Gas South's Vice President of Supply and Risk Management. This includes the oversight of all natural gas physical supply, scheduling, and trading in the wholesale market and ensuring its transportation and delivery to distribution companies throughout the southeast. Before joining Gas South in 2006, Cardozo worked at Southern Company and Mirant Corporation.
Cardozo has a master's degree in engineering from Arizona State University, where he attended as a Fulbright Scholar, and a bachelor's degree in electrical & mechanical engineering from the University of Asunción in Paraguay.
